Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of GradeLogic™. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
GradeLogic™ is an AI-assisted exam grading and analysis tool. AI output is assistive and may contain errors; the instructor remains responsible for reviewing and approving all grades before they are released to students.
2. Accounts & eligibility
Accounts are created via Google sign-in and are for a single instructor. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping it secure.
3. Subscriptions, credits & billing
Paid AI operations consume Grading Credits granted with an active subscription. Credits expire as described at purchase. Billing is handled by Stripe; charges are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period and unexpired credits remain usable.
4. Acceptable use
Do not upload content you lack the right to process, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it to violate any law or third-party right. You must obtain any consent required to process student assessment data.
5. Instructor responsibilities & student data
You decide what leaves your browser. You are responsible for reviewing the PII redaction preview before authorizing any cloud processing, for verifying AI-generated grades, and for complying with your institution's policies and applicable education-privacy laws (e.g. FERPA, GDPR). See our FERPA Support Overview and Data Processing Agreement.
6. Intellectual property
GradeLogic™ and its software are owned by us. You retain ownership of your exam content and results. You grant us a limited licence to process the content you submit solely to provide the service.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that AI grading is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including grading errors you did not review.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG); mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected. The exclusive place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, is our registered seat in Germany. Contact: legal@gradelogic.ai.
